It provides rapid relief and reliable return to an “on” state for residents who experience episodes while waiting for oral medication to work.

APOKYN is an FDA-approved treatment for acute, intermittent “off” episodes in patients with advanced Parkinson’s disease (PD).

APOKYN can:

• Help manage Parkinson’s disease symptoms by quickly ending “off” episodes^2,3

APOKYN is indicated for the acute, intermittent treatment of hypomobility and “off” episodes (end-of-dose wearing-off and unpredictable “on-off” episodes) associated with advanced Parkinson’s disease. APOKYN has been studied as an adjunct to other medications. The most common adverse events seen in controlled trials of APOKYN were yawning, drowsiness/ somnolence, dyskinesias, dizziness/postural hypotension, rhinorrhea, nausea and/or vomiting, hallucinations/confusion, and edema/swelling of the extremities.
