Understanding Updates in the Vaccination Environment: Regulatory and Clinical Updates for the 65+ Population

In its October 2022 meeting, the Advisory Committee on Immunization Practices (ACIP) approved the Recommended Adult Immunization Schedule for 2023. In this discussion, we will cover notable changes to vaccine schedules, what facilities can expect regarding the regulatory landscape, as well as how these updates will impact individuals 65 years and older. We will also explore the new preference given to 3 select versions of the influenza vaccine: high-dose inactivated influenza vaccine, quadrivalent recombinant influenza vaccine, and quadrivalent adjuvanted inactivated influenza vaccine.

3. Learn about new vaccines with utility in the older population.
