This session explores the emerging role of pharmacogenomics (PGx) in memory care, highlighting how genetic insights can inform more personalized and effective medication management. Attendees will gain a foundational understanding of PGx concepts and terminology, review the evolving financial and regulatory landscape, and identify practical criteria for implementing PGx testing in long-term and memory care
settings. Real-world scenarios will illustrate how PGx can be leveraged to optimize therapy, reduce adverse drug events, and enhance outcomes for residents with cognitive impairment.
