Part 3 of a 6-Part Series
The process of data formulation from the care delivery process to the MDS 3.0 assessment is frequently duplicative, inefficient and produces inaccurate or non-reproducible data. This session will identify the steps managers must take to identify the process in their facility and move to improve data accuracy and reproducibility. Looking at the quality of documentation by the interdisciplinary care giving staff, the formats for documentation and the training and awareness of the staff of the data that flows into the data base is essential. Specific criteria will be presented to formulate care delivery documentation that match the definitions and process in the RAI Manual. Many case example and formats will be discussed to create efficient accurate data flow. Senior operational and clinical managers need to evaluate the current facility process with a focus on accuracy and efficiency. The outcome of investing in this evaluation increases data accuracy, outcomes reporting and risk management which contributes to operational success.

Key Webinar Learnings

  • Identify the importance of an MDS data formulation review focused on care delivery, elder response to care and clinical measurements.
  • Describe the structure of documentation that is accurate to the definitions and processes required in the RAI Manual.
  • Discuss and demonstrate the formats that can be utilized to structure front line documentation to flow into the assessment process.
